College Scholarship Program

Program Information

Saratoga's Credit Union offers college-bound high school seniors the opportunity to compete for statewide college scholarships through the New York Credit Union Association's Scholarship Program. Scholarships awarded may range from $500 to $1,500 and may be used at a two or four-year accredited educational institution.

 

Application Guidelines


Important Dates:

Jan. 8, 2021: Deadline for students to submit applications
Late April - Early May 2021: Your credit union will receive notification regarding 2021 winners and awards.

Submission Instructions:

1. The applicant must save and complete the 2021 Scholarship Application.  Please download and save the application before you complete the form.

2. Obtain a Verification Code from Saratoga's Credit Union to verify eligibility by either calling 518.583.2323 or visiting our branch at 23 Division Street in Saratoga Springs.

3. The applicant and his/her parent or guardian must complete the Certification and Release Authorization on the last page of the application.

4. Please save the following as three separate files (PDFs or Word Documents):

  • Scholarship Application
  • High School Transcript and SAT/PSAT/ACT Scores
  • Essay

5. Submit the application here!

Please fill out your name and email address for both the Nominee and Nominated By sections.
Please disregard the Reasons for Nomination section.

6. When your application has been successfully submitted, you will see the message "Nomination successfully saved."

 

If you are unable to submit your application online, please bring your completed application and supporting documents to Saratoga's Credit Union and we will submit them on your behalf.

Eligibility


Applicants MUST be:

  • Member of Saratoga's Credit Union;
  • College-bound high school senior at the time of application; and
  • Attending either a two or four-year accredited educational institution for the first time in the fall of 2021
