What is a surcharge fee?
A surcharge is a fee that may be assessed by an ATM owner for using the machine.  Our members can use ATMs within the CO-OP Network and avoid these fees.

In addition to the fees charged on some accounts by Saratoga's Community FCU, ATM owners may charge additional fees known as surcharges to use their ATMs. These vary by institution. Our credit union has entered into an agreement with Stewart's Shops and the CO-OP Network to allow members to access participating ATMs, Kiosks and cash dispensing terminals without paying surcharges. Credit union fees for exceeding the maximum amount of transactions as stated in our fee schedule and your account agreement will still apply.  ATM transactions include balance inquiries, deposits, withdrawals and transfers.  Basic checking members receive 2 free transactions per month (including balance inquiries, transfers and withdrawals) then $2.00 per transaction thereafter; Premium Checking & High Yield Checking members receive 4 free transactions per month (including balance inquiries, transfers and withdrawals) then $2.00 per transaction.  Price Chopper/Market 32 stores with ATMs in Saratoga, Washington and Warren Counties will not charge a surcharge at the ATM and the credit union will not charge a transaction fee for use of these ATMs.  Please refer to our Fee Schedule for details.
